Welcome to House Plan Drafting 101. The Drafting Classroom on the Internet. Interested in learning to draw house plans? You've come to the right place. When you complete this course, you'll have the knowledge to draw  the Floor Plan, Elevations, Foundation, Roof Plan, & Details for the "Ranch Style House" including the Electrical and Dimensions, which is the basis for most houses built in the United States today. This course is also a great way to get ahead of the rest of the class if you're presently studying architecture too.

H.P.D. 101 is staffed by a fully trained Drafter and Home Designer. My name is Tim Davis. This is what I do for a living.  Here, I'll lead you through a simplified & well planned course in drawing house plans. The easiest way to take these lessons is using a CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) program. You may also use a drafting board for the lessons! The only difference being, you will need to mail copies of your drawing to me so we may check your progress
